Palace of Versailles will house a brand new luxury hotel
The Palace of Versailles has long been a popular tourist attraction, but now the news that a new luxury hotel set in its lush gardens means visitors can now stay there - for those who want to feel like a contemporary Marie Antoinette .
The Airelles Château de Versailles will open in spring 2020 in the northern hemisphere - the first hotel to have a home within the Palace's perimeters. The 14-room property will be designed in 18th century style, with architect and interior designer Christophe Tollemer in charge of its aesthetics.
Although few details have been released about the hotel, it has a private spa and a restaurant led by Alain Ducasse , who is one of only two Michelin-starred chefs in his career. Guests will also enjoy access and exclusive experiences at Chateau de Versailles.
Luxury hotel group Aire lles owns several properties across France, though its opening in Versailles is the crown jewel and one of the most anticipated travel launches of 2020!
