THE ALIENIST: the second season of the TV series based on the novel of the same name by Caleb Carr set in a nineteenth-century New York victim of brutal unsolved murders has just been released. The new commissioner Theodore Roosevelt chooses to follow a different path from the conventional one, asking for help with the investigation of an alienist, an enigmatic psychiatrist who studies the minds of criminals almost obsessively. The series is based on Henry James&#39; horror-gothic tale The Turn of the Screw.
