Actor Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson , his wife, were diagnosed with the new coronavirus. The 63-year-old couple was shooting a new film about Elvis Presley in Australia and it was the star himself, through his social networks, who confirmed the news to the world.
"Hello, everybody. Rita and I are here in Australia. We felt a little tired, cold and in pain in our bodies. Rita had chills that came and went. Light fevers too. To do everything right, as is necessary in the world now, we have been tested for coronavirus, and the result was positive, " wrote Hanks.

Warner Bros., the studio responsible for the production, confirmed in an official statement that there is a member of the team also with the COVID-19, but gave no names. The company has also said it will cooperate and work with Australian authorities, but has not yet announced whether it plans to postpone the recordings of the feature film directed by Baz Luhrmann.
Warner Bros. Television also canceled recordings for the fourth season of “Riverdade” after a team member had contact with an infected person.
