The artist's career began in the 60s . Looking at the photos of that time, it is hard to believe that we are facing the same Elton John, who we are all used to see perfoming in shocking, provocative and even insane outfits. Back in the days the artist preferred elegant and classic silhouettes.

During the  70s, the images of the singer became more original and extraordinary. This is largely due to the fact that designer Bob Mackie began to create his stage-outfits. He brought to life the most daring ideas of Elton John. It was this blind-courage in the singer's ouftis choices, both stage and everyday, that formed the musician's unique, memorable, and unlikely personality.

After a while, his concerts were waited not only for his incredible perfomances but also to discover which crazy look the singer would have sported

In the 80s and 90s , the artist went through troubling times in his personal life, but he never stopped delighting fans with bright outfits and new hits. During this time, for one of Elton John's tours, the costumes were created by the great Gianni Versace, whose friendship the performer greatly valued.

During the mid 2000s, the artist's style became more restrained, trouser suits were his things. However, Elton John also kept favor bright colors, extravagant prints and accessories.

Sir Elton John's influence on the world of music and fashion cannot be overstated. He serves as an inspiration for many designers. For example in 2018, the creative director of Gucci Alessandro Michele created the capsule collection "Levon" - the same name with the singer's single, released in 1971.

"What's wrong with expressing yourself just trying to be yourself?" - says the performer in one of his interviews. And this quote really fully reflects the style of Elton John - bright, original, unique.
