A fundraiser in support of restaurants severely affected by the lockdown momentarily pauses the annual ranking of the 50 Best.

When the ranking that elects the best places in the world to &quot;eat well&quot; decides to do good, projects like 50 Best for Recovery are born .

The World&#39;s 50 Best Restaurant&#39;s decision was in fact to temporarily freeze the 2020 ranking and all the events connected to it, to focus on three different charity initiatives.

In collaboration with S. Pellegrino and Acqua Panna , it will in fact offer tangible financial aid and will aggregate a series of useful resources for the world of catering, seriously affected by the lockdown worldwide.

Three steps for 50 Best for Recovery

The first step coincides with the establishment of the 50 Best Recovery Fund , a fund with which to support international non-profit organizations that will contribute to the revitalization of the restaurant sector. The numerous partners of 50 Best , customers and fans of the world of catering through their donations took part in it.

The second step is to create 50 Best Recovery Hubs , an <a href="http://theworlds50best.com/recovery" rel="noopener" target="_blank">online</a> project that will gather inspirational content for the whole sector. In September, however, it will be the turn of the Recovery Summit . It&#39;s about a new multi-day virtual event format that will embrace master classes, conferences, interviews and discussion forums to bring together the restaurant community online and promote the most effective best practices.

The social challenge # 50BestRateMyPlate

The publication of the digital recipe book &quot; Home Comforts: simple lockdown recipes from the world&#39;s best chefs and bartenders&quot; , downloadable with a small donation, will finally kick off a special social challenge, called # 50BestRateMyPlate . Once the e-book is purchased, everyone can prepare at home the dishes and drinks illustrated in the book which, once photographed and shared, will be judged directly by the famous chefs who created the recipes!
