The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory prequel is expected to hit theaters in March 2023.

The work never stops for <a href="https://www.lofficiel.co.uk/pop-culture/timothee-chalamet-in-don-t-look-up-with-ariana-grande-and-dunes" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Timoth&eacute;e Chalamet</a>. Last night, the actor sent fans into a tailspin by sharing a first look from his upcoming film <a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/timothee-chalamet-new-willy-wonka-movie-charlie-chocolate-factory-prequel" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wonka</a>. The film tells the&nbsp;story of the early life of Willy Wonka from&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/the-witches-movie-anne-hathaway-costumes-designer-interview" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Roald Dahl</a>'s 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, including how the young chocolatier found himself at the head of a chocolate factory.
The Dune actor posted two photos from set on social media, writing in the caption, "The suspense is terrible, I hope it will last ... 🏭WONKA🍫."

Chalamet was announced as the film's star earlier this year. He follows in the footsteps of other great actors like Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp. A source told <a href="https://deadline.com/2021/05/timothee-chalamet-willy-wonka-warner-bros-1234762658/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Deadline</a> that the musical will be the young actor's debut of his vocal and dance capabilities. Initially, the preparation of the musical numbers conflicted with his schedule, however, the Call Me by Your Name star has been at the top of Warner Bros.'s list for the role for some time.

Holland starred in the musical&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/film-tv/ballet-documentaries-films-watch-stream-now" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Billy Elliot</a>&nbsp;as a child, while Chalamet, the son of a Broadway actress, starred in musicals throughout his&nbsp;<a href="https://www.lofficielusa.com/pop-culture/celebrities-that-went-to-high-school-together" target="_blank" rel="noopener">high school</a>&nbsp;career at the LaGuardia High School of Music &amp; Art and Performing Arts in New York City.
 While little is known about the film's plot thus far, the project is expected to hit theaters in March 2023.
