This morning, the Academy announced the nominees for the 2024 Oscars. While full of nods to some of last year's greatest achievements in film, the most anticipated award is, of course, Best Picture. A mix of blockbuster hits, international films, and streaming movies, the Best Picture nominees represent the best of the best&mdash;many of which have already been duly recognized this awards season (see: Oppenheimer, Barbie, etc.).

Starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling,&nbsp;Barbie&nbsp;critiques both the hardships and the beauty of womanhood, leaving its viewers filled with emotion. The film, which received eight Oscar nominations, is now available to stream on Max.&nbsp;

Oppenheimer&nbsp;follows scientist J. Robert Oppenheimer through the development and invention of the atomic bomb. The winner of the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture is currently available to rent, however, it will make its streaming debut on February 16 on Peacock.

Killers of the Flower Moon

Starring Leonardo DiCaprio and 2024 Oscar nominee Lily Gladstone, Killers of the Flower Moon&nbsp;is a crime drama based on the story of a Native American tribe member who tries to save her community. The film is available to stream now on Apple TV+.&nbsp;

In Poor Things, protagonist Bella Baxter (played by Emma Stone) goes through an enriching identity journey, all while believing in equality and liberation. This fantasy film is expected to be available on Hulu in the coming weeks.

Directed and co-written by Bradley Cooper, Maestro follows the life of composer/conductor Leonard Bernstein, including his relationship with actress Felicia Montealegre. Stream the film now on Netflix.&nbsp;

The comedy-drama The Holdovers&nbsp;follows a New England boarding school teacher (Paul Giamatti) stuck on campus during Christmas with a group of troubled students. Stream it exclusively on Peacock.

Anatomy of a Fall

The chaos of&nbsp;Anatomy of a Fall&nbsp;starts when Sandra H&uuml;ller's character tries to prove herself innocent of her husband's murder, all while her blind son is the only witness to the crime. Currently, the thriller is only available to rent via Apple TV, Vudu, Amazon Prime Video, and YouTube.&nbsp;

Past Lives,&nbsp;featuring actors Greta Lee and Teo Yoo, follows the lives of two childhood friends reuniting after 24 years apart. The heart-felt romance is now available to stream free on Viki or to rent on Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and Apple TV.&nbsp;

American Fiction

Starring Jeffrey Wright,&nbsp;American Fiction&nbsp;is a comedy-drama film based on Percival Everett's book Erasure that tells the story of a frustrated novelist and his pursuit to prove his point as a Black author. Currently, the film is not available to stream, however, it is expected to be on Amazon Prime Video soon.

The Zone of Interest

Based on the 2014 novel by Martin Amis, the historical drama The Zone of Interest&nbsp;shows the life of Rudolf Hoss, who wants to build a life for his family next to a concentration camp. The film is still available to watch in theaters and will soon be available on Max.&nbsp;
