With New York Fashion Week officially underway, L&rsquo;OFFICIEL caught up with model, influencer, and podcaster Olivia Ponton ahead of the Marc Jacobs show.

There&rsquo;s no easing into New York Fashion Week&mdash;and no one knows that better than 23-year-old It girl <a href="https://www.instagram.com/olivia.ponton/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Olivia Ponton.</a> As NYFW officially kicks off with Marc Jacobs&rsquo; highly anticipated show, the model, creator, and newly minted podcaster lets us tag along for a getting-ready moment that's all about confidence, self-care, and style. In this GRWM diary, Ponton opens up about how she prepares before a week as chaotic as Fashion Week even begins, the skincare routine she swears by when her schedule is packed wall-to-wall, and what it&rsquo;s been like launching her new podcast, Booked &amp; Busy, in the midst of it all.

L'OFFICIEL: Walk us through your GRWM process for the Marc Jacobs show. What&rsquo;s the very first thing you do before Fashion Week glam even begins?
OLIVIA PONTON: The very first thing I did was start with a slow morning. I had to eat within an hour of waking up, so I made myself a protein-packed breakfast, an iced matcha latte with cinnamon, and spent a little time reading and working on my podcast, Booked &amp; Busy. That quiet time really grounds me before Fashion Week glam even begins. Then I got ready, doing my hair in a slicked-back pony, keeping my makeup glowy and natural, and of course, picking the cutest Marc Jacobs outfit that I was so excited to wear!
L'O: Beauty plays such a big role in your GRWMs. What are the non-negotiables in your pre-show routine, especially during a packed NYFW schedule?
OP: Skin prep, hydration, and self-tan. Since I&rsquo;m on Accutane, I&rsquo;m very careful with skincare and stick to gentle products. I swear by CeraVe for cleansing and moisturizing because it keeps my skin calm and hydrated. I also love rolling ice cubes on my face! It's such a refreshing way to wake up my skin before a show. Another non-negotiable is drinking a lot of water, especially during Fashion Week, since it makes such a difference for my skin and energy. Lastly, I live in NYC and hate being pale, so I self-tan pretty religiously.

L'O: You&rsquo;ve worked across fashion and beauty&mdash;from fronting campaigns to hosting major red carpets. How has that experience changed the way you approach getting ready for shows like this?
OP: It&rsquo;s made me focus way more on how I feel rather than just how things look. If I&rsquo;m comfortable and confident, it always shows. I&rsquo;ve learned that confidence is really the prettiest part of your outfit and everything else just builds off that.
L'O: Marc Jacobs is known for pushing boundaries and embracing the unexpected. What draws you to the brand, and why does it resonate with your personal style?
OP: I love that Marc Jacobs encourages individuality and the brand feels playful, expressive, and bold, which really aligns with how I like to dress. It&rsquo;s about having fun with fashion and owning it!

L'O: When dressing for a Marc Jacobs show, do you give yourself more freedom to experiment than usual? How do you decide when to go bold versus keep things grounded?
OP: Definitely! Marc Jacobs feels like a space where you can experiment a little more. I usually go bold in one area - whether that&rsquo;s the silhouette or a statement piece and then keep the rest more balanced so it still feels like me.
L'O: Was there a specific reference&mdash;fashion, art, or a past Marc Jacobs moment&mdash;that influenced today&rsquo;s look?
OP: For today&rsquo;s look, I&rsquo;m wearing a white mini dress from Marc Jacobs with scalloped edges along the neckline. It&rsquo;s so precious and feminine! I paired it with these insanely gorgeous black leather heels with silver daisies on the bottom and cute star charms. The reason I chose the shoes is because of the black leather bag I&rsquo;m carrying, which is their new style, and if you know me, you know I love big bags. Altogether, I chose this look because it feels so Marc Jacobs!

L'O: You&rsquo;ve co-designed collections and collaborated closely with brands. Does being part of the creative process make you more willing to take risks with fashion?
OP: Absolutely! When you&rsquo;re part of creation, you understand intention. And intention gives you the confidence to take purposeful risks that feel meaningful.
L'O: Every It girl has her signature. What&rsquo;s the one thing you do, wear, or swear by that makes people go, &ldquo;Yep, that&rsquo;s so you&rdquo;?
OP: I&rsquo;m rarely without a big bag and a heel! I love elevating even the simplest outfit. Add a matcha in hand and a book in my bag, and that&rsquo;s very much me!

L'O: Looking ahead, what excites you most about where your fashion and creative work is headed right now?
OP: I&rsquo;m super excited about building communities around things I care about like my podcast Booked &amp; Busy, where fashion moments, reading, and conversation all come together. Those authentic connections are what excite me most!

L'O: &nbsp;Since launching your podcast, Booked &amp; Busy, the books and stories you discuss often fuel your fashion and beauty creativity. How do they influence the looks you create?
OP: Books inspire my mood more than anything. A character, a setting, even a feeling from a story can influence how I dress or do my makeup. For my beauty looks, I usually draw inspiration from color palettes, graphic elements or how I imagine the characters would express themselves. For Shatter Me, I drew from the bold, icy tones of the cover, while for Summer in the City, I went for a slightly unapproachable glam look to capture the protagonist&rsquo;s attitude and energy. For The Selection series, I wanted to channel the main character, America, so I chose a white, frilly, sparkly dress and paired it with pretty Swarovski jewelry and a little headband to act as a tiara - just a fun way to bring the character to life through fashion!
L'O: Finally, where&rsquo;s your go-to unwind spot after a hectic Fashion Week&mdash;spa, salon, coffee shop, bakery, or somewhere else?</div>
<div>OP: I love unwinding at a cozy bookstore caf&eacute;, like Bibliotheque in SoHo. It&rsquo;s the perfect spot to slow down and just take a moment for myself after the chaos of Fashion Week. I also really enjoy being able to come home to my apartment afterwards, so I can fully relax and recharge!</div>
