Jonathan Anderson collaborates with Studio Ghibli for Loewe x My Neighbor Totoro, a capsule collection born from the common love for work and craftmentship.

It&#39;s called <a href="https://www.loewe.com/eur/en/home" target="_blank">Loewe x My Neighbor</a> , the new capsule collection signed by the Spanish maison and directed by the creative director Jonathan Anderson . &ldquo;When I think of a movie that offers this kind of comfort to both children and adults, that film is&nbsp;My Neighbor Totoro. &rdquo; No one can forget Hayao Miyazaki &#39;s 1988 masterpiece after seeing it. The story of Mei and Mei&#39;s friendship Satsuki with the magical Totoro and his friends, the soot sprites who cannot be seen by adults but only by children who love them, is truly touching. &quot; Jonathan Anderson explained in a statement. The new collaboration is a project carried out together with Studio Ghibli , the Japanese production house based in Tokyo, which animated and directed the animated film. A very important studio that has created cinematic masterpieces including: &quot;The Enchanted City&quot;, &quot;Princess Mononoke&quot; and &quot;Howl&#39;s Moving Castle&quot; which have received several Oscar nominations.

<a href="https://www.loewe.com/eur/en/home" target="_blank">The new capsule collection</a> celebrates the statement of the Japanese cartoon, proposing the protagonists of the film on garments, bags made of canvas and leather and accessories, reviving the cultural product of Hayao Miyazaki. &quot;The message is that of a dreamlike serenity and lively creativity, which makes us one with nature and with our inner child. For the narration of the <a href="https://www.loewe.com/eur/en/home" target="_blank">Loewe x My Neighbor Totoro</a> capsule collection, photographer Gray Sorrenti creates a photographic series that contains the essence of the cinematographic work and the message of connection with nature. The models are in fact represented in the woods as they hide, seek and find each other. The sense of connection is conveyed with evanescent plays of light, fades and the digital collage effect with Totoro&#39;s figures.
