Vivienne Westwood the Fall-Winter 2021/22 collection
Vivienne Westwood's Fall Winter 2021-22 collection takes inspiration from " Daphnis and Chloe " a 1743 painting by the French Rococo painter François Boucher . A romantic sky, bucolic pastoral scenes, imaginative colors give life to a romantic collection with an artistic taste. Unisex yet with a thousand facets, different stylistic stories intertwine with each other narrating the excellence of British tailoring and paying lavish tributes to iconic archival styles. Classic and modern that come together in a harmonious union, new and daring silhouettes standing out valiantly, timeless and daring. The dresses belong to the autumn winter 2021-22 collection but their life will not die out with the arrival of next year: Vivienne Westwood creates pieces so unique that it is unthinkable to get rid of them. Hence, the garments take on a precise identity over time, becoming fundamental clothes in each wardrobe.
The fabrics are the traditional ones in wool, such as tartan, herringbone and Prince of Wales, combined this time with denim, viscose, silks and an innovative ecological print. A fundamental note to underline of the whole collection is its sustainability. Over 90% of the line is made with materials with a very low environmental impact. So the denim is recycled, the viscose comes from sustainable sources and the silks are all organic.
The unisex collection is divided into different stylistic stories and capsules. Classic British tailoring and iconic archival styles are redesigned to balance new silhouettes with classic pieces. The collection features our favorite traditional wool fabrics such as tartan, herringbone and Prince of Wales, paired with recycled denim, sustainably sourced viscose, organic silks and innovative eco-friendly printing systems. We aim to create clothes that last, timeless, that you can wear with your favorite pieces of your wardrobe year after year.
