Drapes, asymmetry and knee-high boots marked the NYFW catwalk

In Proenza Schouler &#39;s <a href="https://www.revistalofficiel.com.br/fashion-week/stacey-bendet-mistura-texturas-e-estampas-na-colecao-de-outono-de-alice-olivia">Fall / Winter 2020</a> collection, creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez strayed from the usual of their collections, betting on pieces that reflected strong and independent women.

The main inspiration for the entire creative process was a blanket given to stylist Camilla Nickerson. When she started wearing it on her shoulders, like a scarf, the designers saw the act as the starting point for the collection, claiming to be a layer of strength, finding beauty in a new world.

&nbsp;

The brand said goodbye to the midi length of previous collections, which was replaced by skirts and knee-length dresses. Jackets and knitwear with drooping shoulders and shoulder pads brought the 1980s to the fore - the decade they made history. Drapes, black opaque socks, asymmetrical cutouts and more dynamic silhouettes marked a new era of the brand, much more confident.
