At NYFW Jason Wu restarts from Coca-Cola's archives
At New York Fashion Week , Taiwanese designer Jason Wu presents the Fall Winter 2021 collection . "For Fall 2021, I felt nostalgia for my school days in New England and the idyllic American setting of those years. Personally, I was also very keen to combine two of my favorite things, food and fashion. Over the past year , cooking has proven to be an extraordinary outlet for me in a creative way. The joys I feel in cooking and spending time with loved ones make me hope to celebrate the moments that really matter. This show represents who I am, not just as a designer but as a person. " American designer Jason Wu confesses for the collection presented at NYFW: "Creating a royal empire, based on those of the 1950s, is a fantasy of mine. During this period of social distancing, I was inspired by cooking my mother's recipes and recipes from all over the world: I was finding new ways to be expressive. "

"It was exciting to work with Coca-Cola, one of America's most iconic brands. Having full access to Coca-Cola's archives it was really fun to see the brand evolve over the years. I liked the idea of use the iconic Coca-Cola bottles as a print, as well as international logos from around the world. These logos bring that multicultural look to the collection and a nod to what America means to me. The design philosophy of this collection is about top-tier American sportswear, handcrafted details with an emphasis on outerwear. As this is the second time I show my Jason Wu line, I was thrilled to showcase my range as a designer with a ready-to-wear collection, more casual, which builds a wardrobe that can stand the test of time.
