Ferrari&#39;s Spring Summer 2025 collection presented during Milan Fashion Week.

Rocco Iannone didn&#39;t have an easy task when he was called in 2019 to be the creative director of Ferrari &#39;s men&#39;s and women&#39;s line. Everyone knows the brand, in every part of the world, even those who don&#39;t have a driving license and don&#39;t even know what Charles Leclerc looks like. But it&#39;s one thing to talk about cars, it&#39;s more complicated to translate the brand&#39;s DNA into a collection that must assert itself in a super-competitive fashion arena. Ok the iconic red, ok the overalls inspired by those of mechanics and drivers, ok even the arrival of some VIPs at the wheel of roaring jewels made in Maranello. Iannone, at his seventh test, had to decide which way to go, also because the people in fashion, let&#39;s face it, had initially looked with a little suspicion at the launch of the Ferrari-branded style.

Iannone internalized, mulled over, and shaken up much of what one might plausibly associate with the world of Grand Prix racing and racing, before offering the public a co-ed show that alternated the bold accents of miniskirts and low-cut dresses in flowing jersey with more adult silhouettes, including full skirts or horizontal pleats that held flaps of fabric in the center ready to fall dramatically down the front.

Backstage, Iannone reflects on the concept of wardrobe, of function of use and on the choices that each of us, day after day, makes in front of the mirror to define the representation of ourselves. At the end of the show, accompanied by an excellent ensemble of voices, the audience empties with the feeling that the path taken is the right one. Perhaps not everything is so easily transportable into everyday life, but the insiders now know that Ferrari is there and has the potential to grow.
