John Galliano expands the vocabulary "Margiela" by introducing Recicla, the evolution of Replica

For the Maison Margiela co-ed fall-winter 2020 collection, creative director John Galliano expands the house&#39;s codes by introducing &quot; Recicla&quot; which symbolizes the reuse of some selected garments brought back to life, following the trail of the existing concept of Replica used to define the reproduction of vintage pieces within the collections. The new pieces bear the white Recicla label - indicating origin and period - and are nothing more than limited edition garments or accessories, intended for sale. Recicla garments are an integral part of different looks of the fashion show, from coats cut up to become long collars to the collage of different garments reassembled together. A class hybridization, among the key bourgeois style garments, from the trench coat to the blouses with jabot, from the mary-jane to the scarf lying on the neck and on the other the uniforms for hiker, sailor, beekeeper and explorer, represented in particular by the typical hats that are part of the imagery of each of these professions.
